The Assembly for Worship observes the Sacred name of Yahweh, our Heavenly Father, and Yahshua, our Saviour. It is the name by which He revealed Himself to Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
The name Yahweh originates from the Hebrew word Hayah which translates in English to the verb "To Be". In Exodus 3:14, Moses asked Yahweh who shall I say sent me? Yahweh answered "Ayah Asher Ayah. And He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I WILL BE has sent me unto you." In short, Yahweh equals self existence.
There are two quotes in the New Kings James Holy Bible which establish the use of the Sacred name of Yahweh, (see Psalm 68:4 and Isaiah 26:4).
Yahweh's desire is for all to honor Him by calling on His One and only Name, see Exodus 20:1-5; 23:13; and 34:14.
Webster's Dictionary refers to "YHWH" as the name of Yahweh and references the tetragrammation as the Hebrew letters that form the Biblical proper name of God. The word Yahweh is defined as "the God of the Hebrews".
When we say Halleluyah as noted in Revelation 19:3, we are giving praise to our One and Only Heavenly Father. The word Halleluyah means "Praise ye Yah".
